Burro Atelier is the creative project of Gaia Varalli, an architecture graduate, born out of the desire to combine aesthetics, research and gestures into ceramic objects with expert hands.
After years of experience in architecture, visual design and graphics, she found in ceramics a language of expression, mastery and proportion.
Each piece is born from a new starting point of balance, mastery and proportion. The handmade process — from the clay to the kiln — is a deep and artisanal technique that she has dedicated years to perfecting.
The lightness of the forms, the smoothness of the surfaces, and the ability to constantly reinvent the material reflect a sensitivity and care for every single object.
Her works produce variety: each point is carefully considered, each surface is smooth, refined and completely intentional, with a respect for the time dedicated to the art of ceramics.
The idea is to create perfect objects that celebrate craftsmanship, rediscovering a relationship with things and transforming an object of daily use into a precious and meaningful one.
